As we celebrate five years of Dentsu Aegis Network, we hear from the people who have been here since day one about their personal journeys and what they’re looking forward to in the future.
We spoke to Claire Corrigan, Global Head of Awards and Events, about her experience over the last five years.
Tell us a little about your journey at Dentsu Aegis Network since its foundation in 2013…
I started life as a planner/buyer working for Carat. I then moved into account management and worked across a range of our global clients and also on global pitches. I became very involved in new clients’ induction into the agency. I then moved into a projects and comms role.
Having been a member of the network since Day 1, which have been the biggest milestones for you?
For me personally, it was the shift in global businesses working globally vs market-by-market which drove our own realignment and changed the way we operate and have grown as a result.
The biggest step change has been the acquisition of Aegis Media by Dentsu Inc.
What are you most proud of?
The win of GM. Nobody thought we would win as we were considered weak in the USA.
What do you think are the key challenges & opportunities that lie ahead for our industry?
Growth in emerging markets such as India and China is the biggest opportunity. Loss of jobs to technology is a real threat.
Why is DAN best positioned to win over the next 5 years?
We’re digitally-focused and agile in mindset, organisation and performance.
What are you most excited about when it comes to the future of DAN?
That we continue to attract the best talent and clients, be a place that people yearn to work and make a difference and be a truly global innovative business that delivers great standout work for our clients.
