Dentsu Aegis Network today welcomes ASPAC Creative Communications Inc. (“ASPAC”) in the Philippines to the network, formalising the relationship in which the two entities have worked closely together since 2012, through acquisition. ASPAC will become part of Dentsu’s global agency network but will continue to operate separately and retain its brand identity.
ASPAC is a creative agency of long standing reputation in the Philippines - founded originally in February 1975 as ASPAC Communicators Inc. by Max B. Ramos Jr. His son, Miguel C. Ramos, took over the leadership of the agency in 1996 and remains Chairman of ASPAC as well as being CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines.
Under the leadership of Miguel C. Ramos, Susan Dimacali and Angel Antonio, ASPAC has maintained its energetic and focussed reputation for driving creativity. The agency was named Independent Agency of the Year in both 2010 and 2013 by the Association of Accredited Advertising Agencies of the Philippines and has built a solid track record of successful partnerships with market leaders and challenger brands.
Dick van Motman Chairman and CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Southeast Asia said: “It’s a pleasure to officially welcome ASPAC to the Dentsu Aegis Network family. We’ve seen great potential for our business in the Philippines to expand on our creative talent and services. This acquisition is a strategic investment to further grow our footprint in the local scene and to continue to strengthen our presence in the sixth largest advertising market in Asia Pacific.”
Hiroaki Charlie Sano Executive Officer of Dentsu Inc. and CEO of Dentsu branded agencies within Dentsu Aegis Network said: “ASPAC is a very welcome addition to our operations in the Philippines. It will provide a broader range of services with further opportunities for development. The strong team at ASPAC has already added significant value in the three years we have been working together, and I’m confident they will continue to do so.”
“I’m delighted to bring ASPAC into the Dentsu Aegis Network family and to have the opportunity to work closely with the team on what is now our shared mission to innovate the way brands are built,” Miguel C. Ramos Chairman of ASPAC Creative Communications Inc. and CEO Dentsu Aegis Network Philippines added.
Miguel C. Ramos will continue as Chairman of ASPAC, with Susan Dimacali as CEO and Angel Antonio as COO.
