Dentsu Aegis Network Promotes Asia Leadership Talent to Global Positions

- Motohiro Yamagishi CEO Dentsu Aegis Network China becomes Executive Officer in charge of domestic client relations at Dentsu Inc. and Phil Teeman is promoted to CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network China
- Masaya Nakamura relocates to Singapore as Global and Asia Pacific Executive Client President for Dentsu Aegis Network, to support the expansion of Japanese and key global clients
Following announcements made on 29 November in relation to Executive Officers of Dentsu Inc., Dentsu Aegis Network Asia Pacific is pleased to announce promotions and moves that will take effect from January 2018.
After two successful years in Singapore, Takaki Hibino will return to Tokyo as Executive Officer of Dentsu Inc. Takaki will manage global business development from Tokyo working with Dentsu Aegis Network’s leadership and client teams.
Commenting on his move, Takaki Hibino said, “It’s been an incredible experience working with the great depth of talent at Dentsu Aegis Network globally through my role leading Dentsu and dentsu X. Although I will be based in Tokyo, I am committed to drive further collaboration between Dentsu Inc and Dentsu Aegis Network. It will also pave the way for fresh new talent to step into the agency brand leadership roles, to drive growth and continue to disrupt our clients’ businesses in a positive way.”
Following Takaki’s move, Mitsuyuki Nakamura will be promoted to Global and Asia Pacific President of dentsu X and Dick van Motman will be promoted to Global and Asia Pacific President of Dentsu creative agencies, succeeding Masahiko Hibi the current Global President of Dentsu creative agencies who will retire at the end of this year. The moves will bring new leadership with strong credentials to the helm of two global agency networks.
Motohiro Yamagishi, CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network China, will move back to Tokyo to take on the role of Executive Officer in charge of domestic client relations and will be succeeded by Phil Teeman. Motohiro has been leading the business in China for over three years. During this time Phil was Managing Director of Dentsu Aegis Network China and represents a seamless leadership transition.
Masaya Nakamura, newly promoted Executive Officer at Dentsu Inc., will join the team in Singapore. He will be appointed Global and Asia Pacific Executive Client President for Dentsu Aegis Network, focused on expanding relationships with homegrown Japanese and key global clients. With over 27 year of experience leading global and local clients such as The Coca-Cola Company, McDonalds and Bridgestone Corporation in Japan, he will bring in a wealth of global and local client knowledge, relationships and expertise for further growth.

Dick’s successor as CEO of Dentsu Aegis Network Southeast Asia will be announced in due course.
