Michael Komasinski is CEO of dentsu Americas, the global company’s largest geographic region. He also serves as global CEO of dentsu’s customer experience management practice, a world-leading capability that has scaled to a multi-billion-dollar business under Michael’s leadership. He sits on the Group Executive Management team and leads the Americas Executive Leadership Team.
As CEO of the Americas region, Michael leads 15,000+ people to deliver on the company’s vision: to be at the forefront of people-centered transformation. He has management oversight of dentsu, its award-winning agency brands and leads a team focused on developing innovative solutions that leverage data, analytics, and technology for clients. He also oversees a global portfolio of strategic clients, building and growing relationships with the world's leading companies to drive client value and co-innovation.
Michael joined dentsu through the acquisition of Merkle in 2016 and has since played a critical role in the integration and growth of the company’s customer experience and transformation capabilities. He has been an integral part of Merkle’s Executive Team since 2015, helping deliver enterprise revenue growth of more than 400% and team growth of 600% in his tenure and is responsible for nearly $2 billion in annual revenue and oversees a staff of more than 16,000 employees in 30+ countries throughout the Americas, EMEA, and APAC. Michael was also the key architect behind the successful acquisitions of LiveArea, Omega, Tag and Shift7 that further cement dentsu’s leadership in digital transformation capabilities.
Core to Michael’s leadership style is the notion of ‘doing well by doing good.’ He demonstrates that it’s not only possible, but also a competitive advantage for dentsu. Michael is committed to creating a workplace culture that champions inclusivity, collaboration, and innovation.
He holds a Bachelor of Science from Vanderbilt University and an MBA from Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. He currently lives in New York with his wife and two children, with whom he enjoys traveling around the world.
