Our Commitment to the Uluru Statement from the Heart

We acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of the lands where dentsu operates, pay respect to their Elders – past, present, and future – and acknowledge the important role Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples continue to play within the community. Everywhere across this country – where we walk, work, and grow – always was and always will be, Aboriginal land.
Dentsu has heard the invitation that is the Uluru Statement from the Heart. We are humbled to walk alongside and in partnership with you to create a better, more meaningful future for all Australian people.
Thank you for delivering this through a sign of friendship and a sign of peace.
We acknowledge that we all must work together to bring reconciliation to Australia and your voices need to be empowered.
We write to you today to recognise and support the Uluru Statement from the Heart.
We support your call for the establishment of a First Nations voice enshrined in the Constitution and for a referendum to amend the Constitution accordingly.
We support your call for the development of a Makarrata Commission to supervise a process of agreement-making between governments and First Nations, and truth-telling about our history.
Our commitment is to continue to walk with you by raising awareness to this important national dialogue with our people, our clients, and our industry. We will do this through holding awareness and engagement campaigns so our stakeholders understand the importance of the Statement, as well as developing resources to help advise the businesses we work with on how they can support the yes campaign in the lead up to a referendum.
